ICE middle Management Shakeup Expected over Detaining of Children

Anonymous sources at ICE say a middle management shakeup is underway sparked by recent coverage of ICE detaining children. The source noted that ICE has typically been able to stay ahead of criticism by acting quickly and at scale–normalizing the behavior before resistance can mobilize.

This strategy hit a snag when ICE turned to children because when agents were bending over to detain a child, the high collars of their turtleneck shirts were pulled down to reveal their faces. Leadership is working closely with suppliers to retrofit ICE apparel to include a full ski mask option–although finding domestic textile companies willing to partner is proving to be a challenge due to staffing shortages.
