  • The mental health community is raising awareness of a concerning new pattern–informally known as LinkedIn Withdrawal Syndrome. HR executives are sharing stories about how new employees are glued to the LinkedIn Job Search feature–even while at their new jobs–often long after other employees have gone home for the day. Without any formal research, professionals are left to conjecture about causes–such as muscle memory from long term job searching to boolean string prepping. Many firms terminated these employees only to find them back on the job within a week–given that the algorithms were not designed to handle this phenomenon. According to a leaked internal memo from SHRM, the best practice is simply to keep these employees on the payroll. January 15, 2026
  • Lawmakers from both parties took questions today–after a committee hearing on a bill that would tax various letters of the alphabet. One group proposed a simple tax on vowels, arguing that their frequent use would raise enough money to pay for job retraining for ICE agents…noting that I-C-E itself has two vowels. But another faction argued that this policy would create an unfair advantage for non-vowel letters. The session ended abruptly when Ms. Rachel showed up unexpectedly.  January 15, 2026
  • Liberty University and Hillsdale College have quietly banned the United States Constitution from libraries and classes. When I started in tech sales circa 2007, one of the first things they said in training was, you don't want to sound like vendor verbal vomit. This blog is vendor verbal vomit. The only thing I have to sell is sin, confusion, blindness, vice, disorder, profanity, despair, and death. I hear that sometimes the Holy Spirit uses this collage of cliches and foolishness to do some good.
